Since the announcement of Deewaniyat, viewers have been keen to see how Vijayendra Kumeria will once again surprise them, and he is here with his fresh and stylish persona. The actor gave us a glimpse of his look transformation journey from Angad from the show Teri Meri Dooriyan to Dev in the show Deewaniyat.
Vijayendra Kumeria, aka Dev from Star Plus’s Deewaniyat, shares, "I am having a lot of fun playing the character of Dev in the show Deewaniyat, as I am not at all restricted. The character Dev is a younger son of the family and is a very playful and happy-go-lucky human. I am doing things that I have never done before. Portraying something different from what you really are is a great feeling, and playing it right is an achievement as an actor. Angad from Teri Meri Dooriyan was totally different; he was a Punjabi, and to look like one, I had worked on it minutely and with detailed details, where Dev from the show Deewaniyat is a Haryanvi Jaatt, and in order to get into the skin of the character, I have lost weight, got a cool hairstyle, brought some swag in the acting, and of course have tried to pick up the accent too. The look of the character is trendy, and I am loving it!"
Produced by Cockcrow & Shaika Entertainment, Deewaniyat is set to air soon on Star Plus!
