Vikrant Massey went for therapy after ‘A Death in the Gunj’, says, '...maa ke haath pair thande ho gaye...' - Exclusive

In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar Screenz, Vikrant took a detour to how he had become psychologically affected after shooting ‘A Death in the Gunj’, which is why he had made a mental promise to himself to never allow his character in ‘Sector 36’ to spill over once he went home.

MUMBAI: With a lot of announcements, one that garnered a lot of attention was the announcement of ‘The Sabarmati Report’ which is directed by Ranjan Chandel and stars Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna. The movie was initially announced to be released on 3rd May but the release date got postponed and will now release on 15thNovember.

The movie is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan. The movie announcement made a wave amongst the audience. Mainly the curiosity about this movie was because of the casting and the story of the movie.

The makers released the much-awaited teaser and trailer in which we got to see how the movie is based on what took place in Sabarmati Express on 27 Feb 2002. Audience is curious to see what the story holds in store and also, Vikrant Massey fans are excited.

In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar Screenz, Vikrant took a detour to how he had become psychologically affected after shooting ‘A Death in the Gunj’, which is why he had made a mental promise to himself to never allow his character in ‘Sector 36’ to spill over once he went home.

Vikrant Massey said, “Method toh tha, kaafi jamm ke tayyari bhi ki gayi I think humne 16-17 din workshops kiye. Start to finish Delhi mein kiya lekin I’ll tell you one thing very honestly, iss film mein, I was very cognizant, very well aware ki main yeh jo Prem Singh ka kirdaar kar raha hu, I will not let it affect me personally, because of my past experiences. Ab abhi mein brief mein aapko batau Death in the Gunj ke time pe main bohot disturb tha. Pehli baar zindagi mein mujhe kahin na kahin ek guidance ke liye, therapy ke liye jana pada. Aur mere ghar wale hi le gaye. Jab main Ranchi se wapas aaye toh meri maa ke haath pair thande ho gaye mujhe dekh ke. Iss (movie) mein main baa cognizant tha ke bhaiya ye Prem Singh ghar pe nahi aa sakta”
