MUMBAI: With a lot of announcements, one that garnered a lot of attention was the announcement of ‘The Sabarmati Report’ which is directed by Ranjan Chandel and stars Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna. The movie was initially announced to be released on 3rd May but the release date got postponed and will now release on 15thNovember.
The movie is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan. The movie announcement made a wave amongst the audience. Mainly the curiosity about this movie was because of the casting and the story of the movie.

The makers released the much-awaited teaser and trailer in which we got to see how the movie is based on what took place in Sabarmati Express on 27 Feb 2002. Audience is curious to see what the story holds in store and also, Vikrant Massey fans are excited.
In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar Screenz, Vikrant Massey opened up about why it is difficult to make such movies in the country
Vikrant Massey said, “comparison nahi hai. Mujhe waha ka itna pata nahi hai lekin mera bhi ek perspective hai ki comparison nahi hai. Wahan pe aap filmein bana sakte hai. Wahan pe 'agree to disagree' shayad kar sakte hai. Yahan thoda sa gambhir hai sir maamla. Yahan aapko pata ho ke jab se humne trailer released kiya hai, teaser release Kiya tha tab se chal raha hai yeh sab kuch but loktantra hai. Humara toh bilkul yeh maan'na hai ki sab ko apni pratikriya vyakt karne ka pura adhikar hai. Jaise Jo log, humari aalochana kar rahe hai, unse bas yehi request hai ki woh ek baar film dekhle. Film dekhne ke baad agar aapko karna hai toh bilkul kare. Aapko mana nahi karenge but aapko bhi koi adhikaar nahi hai humko ye kahani kehne se mana karne ke liye.”
