MUMBAI: Actor Simba Nagpal has once again proved his versatility by taking on a role that challenges societal norms. His latest show, Sajan Ji Ghar Aaye, presents a fresh perspective on gender equality, moving away from the usual regressive narratives on Indian television.

In a recent episode, Simba’s character, Aman, delivered a monologue that has resonated deeply with audiences. His words question the long-standing tradition of women sacrificing their families, careers, and identities after marriage, while men rarely make such adjustments.

In his speech, Aman highlights the unfairness in the way society treats women after marriage. He says: "Jo maa baap apni beti ko Laxmi kehte hain, rajkumari wala treatment dete hain, fir usko kisi din anjaan ghar bhej dete hain, jaha usko unpaid naukrani ke tarah treat kiya jata hai… Magar ham ladke toh badal sakte hain, hai na?"

He questions why only women are expected to leave their parents, while men continue to live in the comfort of their homes. He calls for true gender equality, where men also take responsibility and become a part of their wives' families just as women do for their husbands'.

Simba’s natural and impactful delivery of the monologue has drawn comparisons to the famous Pyaar Ka Punchnama speech, but with a much-needed progressive twist. Fans are applauding him for taking on roles that spark meaningful conversations rather than following outdated tropes.

With Sajan Ji Ghar Aaye, Simba Nagpal is proving once again that he is not just a talented actor, but also someone who chooses characters that challenge norms and inspire change!
