Although his unexpected elimination came as a surprise to many fans, his popularity has remained intact.
In a recent interview, Gautam opened up about the decision to reportedly scrap this year’s season of Bigg Boss OTT, and he didn’t hold back while sharing his honest opinion.
“If Bigg Boss OTT has been scrapped, I believe it’s actually a positive move,” he remarked. “At the end of the day, original content is what truly resonates with audiences.
Just like in films—no matter how many sequels are made, the first one always holds a special place. The original Bigg Boss television format has a legacy of 18 seasons, and that authenticity matters.”
He went on to criticise the OTT spin-off for straying from the show’s original appeal. “I’m not sure when Bigg Boss transitioned to OTT, but somewhere along the way, it became associated with cringe-worthy content and contestants who didn’t live up to the show’s standard. That shift, I feel, impacted its success.”
Gautam’s candid reflections echo the sentiments of many loyal fans who prefer the core format of the long-running reality series. As the entertainment landscape evolves, his comments reignite the discussion on maintaining originality and quality in reality television.
