MUMBAI: COLORS' Parineetii has welcomed Ssudeep Sahir into its gripping narrative, and audiences are hooked, eagerly anticipating what his character, Prithvi Agnihotri, will do next. As a sharp, calculated businessman shrouded in mystery, Prithvi’s arrival has shaken things up — but what makes him even more fascinating is the meticulous detail Ssudeep has woven into his portrayal. Determined to make Prithvi’s obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) tendencies authentic and realistic, Ssudeep immersed himself in research, even consulting a psychiatrist to ensure his performance steers clear of clichés.
Ssudeep Sahir explains, “Prithvi isn’t your typical antagonist. I wanted him to have layers — something that makes viewers both intrigued and unsettled. When I found out that he has OCD tendencies, I knew I had to approach it with care. OCD isn’t just about being tidy — it’s a constant battle with one’s mind, a need for control that seeps into every action. To understand that I read extensively and spoke to a psychiatrist to grasp how OCD manifests in behaviour and body language. For him, order is non-negotiable. Even when chaos erupts around him, he’ll pause to adjust his watch, align his papers, or straighten his cufflinks — it’s his way of maintaining control. I’ve worked on those tiny details — the tension in his fingers when things feel ‘off,’ his fixation on symmetry, the slight hesitation before he speaks if something in his surroundings is bothering him. These subtle traits make him unpredictable. I'm super thrilled about the audiences witnessing my portrayal of this character. Here's hoping that they keep showering love on the show.”
In the current storyline, Parvati is thrown out of the Bajwa house by Prithvi, who also humiliates her mother. Determined to make him pay, she seizes the perfect opportunity and snatches his dream project from right under his nose during an auction. But will this bold move be enough to shake Prithvi, or is she about to awaken a storm she isn’t prepared for?
