MUMBAI: Director Sejal Shah recently opened up about the challenges and excitement of filming a high-intensity bike stunt for her upcoming film Costao, steaming now on Zee5 starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The sequence, which plays a key role in the film’s narrative, was shot under demanding conditions and required meticulous planning. The high octane sequence has been grabbing the eyeballs and been largely talked about. Sejal Shah shared how Nawazuddin’s dedication and attention to detail brought authenticity to the scene, making it one of the most memorable moments of the shoot.
Talking about shooting the scene the director shares,”During the bike chase action sequence, we were filming in small, narrow lanes, it was a very challenging sequence. Nawaz rode the bike himself despite it being a risky chase. Midway through, his brakes failed, but he continued unbeknownst to us all, and only after we yelled "cut" did he stop and inform us about it.”
Sejal Shah marks her directorial debut with Costao and the movie has been winning widespread appreciation for its gripping storytelling, impressive direction and stellar performances. She is also credited previously for bringing fabulous projects like Delhi Crime Season2, Asur 2, Decoupled and Serious Men that won Nawazuddin Siddiqui the prestigious Emmy nomination.
