A page from the personal diary of Ajay Krish I was in Class 11 in Podar College, Matunga. I was 16 and in love with this girl called Mamta. We were going around but when you are just in the first year of college, it’s more like puppy love. More of showing off to your friends, ‘Look, I have a girlfriend too.’ I used to feel good about having one until her dad dropped in college. The memories of that day are still fresh. Her dad had come to college as he had got to know about us. I was sitting in the canteen when my friends told me her dad had come looking out for me, to bash me up. And when you are young, you feel you have the power to fight back anyone you want. So I decided to face him. Later I realized he had not come to beat me up and all he wanted was to talk to me and the college authorities. But, the most embarrassing part of the entire incident was my father too was called to the college to take me back home. Later, I did not see her again as her father sent her to the US for studies. And after completing my studies I too moved to the US, but we did not meet ever again.
