The newly-launched comedy Gili Gili Gappa has an interesting track in the coming week, where Shoma Anand who plays the nani of the three kids, will be dancing to the popular old number. Says a source, “She will move to the beat of the 1950’s Howrah Bridge song, Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu. Known for her dancing in her earlier days, Shoma sportingly agreed to do the scene and practiced for hours on end before she got her steps right. The track is like this, there is a dance competition at the school, for which every parent tries to match steps with their kids as well teaching them some or the other thing. Sandhya (Shweta Gulati) looking at her upset kids, tries to teach them a few steps on the It’s magic… It’s magic song from Koi Mil Gaya. She then, does some jadoo making even nani perform for the kids. Nani then performs on the Chin chin chu song, wearing a blue sari!” Says Anand, “It was fun to perform it, a good break from acting and dialogue-drama. And considering my character is a disciplinarian, I am sure the audiences will be in for a surprise. I have done my bit of dance during my stint in Bollywood, but it has been long since then, and I am glad all went well!” Considering the song is an evergreen foot-tapper, the episode promises to be a rip-roaring affair.
