MUMBAI: Tandon, who has been relatively absent from television following his successful return with Ekta Kapoor’s romantic drama Barsatein a show which earned widespread acclaim, particularly for his on-screen chemistry with co-star Shivangi Joshi has now voiced his displeasure at fellow actor Karanveer Mehra.
Mehra had recently posted on social media, criticising India’s move to revoke the Indus Water Treaty agreement, a decision that would restrict water flow to Pakistan. In his post, Mehra questioned whether essentials like water should be politicised based on nationality or religion, sarcastically suggesting that air might soon be restricted as well.

Unimpressed, Tandon responded sharply, sharing a video reply where he remarked, "Aree bhai, iske bathroom ka pani band karvao, aur Pakistan ki ticket karvao," roughly translating to a scathing suggestion that Mehra should have his bathroom water supply cut off and be sent to Pakistan.
This is not the first time Karanveer Mehra has found himself at the centre of social media backlash. Earlier, his comments condemning the Pahalgam attack were poorly received, with Bigg Boss winner Elvish Yadav taking a dig at him, questioning whether Mehra was seeking support from across the border.
It appears that Karanveer Mehra’s recent social media activity is attracting increasing controversy, with many public figures and netizens alike taking issue with his viewpoints. As debates grow louder, Mehra finds himself once again under the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
