Amitabh Bachchan and the doctor who saved his life reunite on Comedy Nights With Kapil

The viewers of Comedy Nights with Kapil (K9 and SOL) on Colors are in for a grand treat. Not only will they get to see the charisma of Amitabh Bachchan, coaxing viewers in his own inimitable style to watch his upcoming movie Bhoothnath Returns, but also witness an emotional spectacle which will leave everyone misty eyed. What are we talking about? Read on… Everyone knows about the unfortunate episode when Amitabh Bachchan met with a near fatal accident while filming for Coolie. But a bench of three talented doctors, and the blessings of millions of his fans, got him all hale and hearty. And a moment of nostalgia hit Bachchan when the creatives at Comedy Nights decided to bring in Dr Sharad Shah, a gastroenterologist, who was part of a three-member team of doctors who treated Bachchan at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai back in time. Says a source: “Dr Shah was there on the sets and praised Mr Bachchan a lot. He also joked how Bachchanji talked about becoming a doodhwala (milkman) if he never managed to recuperate.” Nice!!! Dr Shah added how Mrs Bachchan (Jaya Bachchan) took ample care of Big B and stood by him during thick and thin. Dr. Shah’s narration of Mr. Bachchan’s past kept the audiences glued (in the studio).
