B-town is unfortunately getting embroiled in rape controversies a bit too often these days. Yesterday night, news of superstar SRK's driver Rajendrakumar Gautam alias Pintu Mishra's arrest spread like wildfire. Gautam 34, has been accused of raping a minor girl. The victim, aged 17, hails from Latur and is believed to have allegedly been employed as a maid at actress Sangita Bijlani's house. Gautam who reportedly used to drive SRK's BMW and was usually assigned with task of ferrying his kids to and fro, reportedly spotted the girl and managed to get her number thereafter which he established contact with her on June 18. It's not clear though where and how Gautam saw the girl for the first time. The girl who had arrived in Mumbai five months back was allegedly lured by Gautam on the pretext of a better job offer. Gautam bragged about his connections and said that he could get the girl a job at SRK's house. Sources say that he even took her to Mannat once. On June 20, Gautam finally convinced the girl to quit her job and meet him at Bandra. From there, he took her to a lodge located near Nallasopara railway station and allegedly raped her. He then threatened her with dire consequences asking her to keep mum about the entire incident. The deeply traumatised girl returned back to Mumbai on 21st June and finally mustered enough courage to lodge the complaint against the accused yesterday. Police officers were quoted saying that the incident has left her deeply disturbed and she is contemplating on moving back to Latur. Meanwhile, Gautam was arrested by the police yesterday and booked under Sections 366(a), 376 and 502(2) of IPC. He will be produced before court today. Meanwhile, there are conflicting reports emerging on Gautam not being SRK's personal car's driver. Sources close to the actor claim that the Gautam has never really driven SRK and used to drive vehicles that formed a part of SRK's convoy. There is no official word from SRK on this matter yet.
