Sumit Verma joins the cast of Colors' Shastri Sisters

The upcoming show Shastri Sisters (Shakuntalam Productions) on Colors is already in much talk as soon as the interesting promos have hit the TV screen. The story about four sisters moving from Kanpur to Delhi is touted to be a fresh project from the usual saas-bahu sagas. Playing the four siblings will by Neha Pednekar, Ishita Ganguly, Sonal Vengurlekar and Pragati Chourasiya. And joining the girl’s bandwagon is newcomer Sumit Verma who will be seen playing Rajeev a young romantic guy in Kanpur who will fall head over heels in love with the eldest sister Alka (Neha). And with the girl reciprocating his love, Rajeev will be overjoyed only to be informed that his girlfriend will be moving to Delhi in a couple of days. Informs a source, “After getting separated from Alka, Rajeev would get overtly possessive and move to Delhi to be by his girlfriend’s side. He would also have some shades of a psycho lover in him.” The very good looking Sumit has earlier being part of TVCs and various episodes. The actor confirmed his presence in the show but refused to divulge details. Shastri Sisters will go on air from 21 July.
