MUMBAI : When the makers of Kalki 2898 AD released the teaser and 2 trailers, it finally gave the audience what they were waiting for and that too for such a long time. Kalki 2898 AD stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan. The movie is directed by Nag Ashwin.
Kalki 2898 AD is getting all the hype but it’s not just because of the trailer but everything that came before that. The movie has finally been released and is getting a lot of love from the audience. The movie is a sci-fi mythological genre which is rare in Indian cinema and can be said Kalki 2898 AD might be the only movie in the genre. The story is heavily based on the Epic Mahabharata.

In an exclusive interview with Director Nag Ashwin over the humongous success of Kalki 2898 AD, the filmmaker opened up on whether he had trepidations of backlash over religious elements, following what Adipurush faced.
Nag Ashwin said, “There was actually nothing because part of the Mahabharat is only connected to the story. It is very specific to our story so I think what was coming to our brain was just to make that particular scene as authentic and as real as we can, whether it’s the chariot, or the bow and arrow or whether it’s the location around that chariotand the action, designing that action but we didn’t think about any backlash or anything because we are only using Mahabharat as a link in our story in the future.”
