In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Lakshmi Manchu talks about the sustenance of male actors in the industry and whether things have changed now or not.

It was pointed out to Lakshmi Manchu about how it is easier for male actors to sustain as lead for longer compared to female actors. When asked if the taboo has been broken or how to move past it, Lakshmi Manchu gave an insightful response and said, “I think women fighting for their space has been happening since time has come into fruition and that’s something we have to accept and move forward with. It’s never one way, right? There are certain times really high then low then high then low. I think what you need to do as a woman is not stop talking. You need to bring it out there and put it out there in terms of what is right and what is not fair so when you voice it, you’re giving voice, you’re not silencing the other women. You’re giving them more power in that sense but you know there are women in the industry who have taken the lead, because we are such a patriarchal society, if we first said in the houses ‘listen to the mom and then the father’ things will change automatically. You should come up with something like this...”

Lakshmi Manchu has taken a firm stand for personal care and growth it seems where she has shown a side of superstars that is so human.
