Ranjini Chinnaswamy was born in Goundampalayam, Erode in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

On 11-01-2013, the couple was blessed with their first child (a baby girl) Umayaal, and the second child a son named Kandhan was born on 21-10-2010.
