MUMBAI : While returning from a late night shoot on Wednesday night, actor Suraj Meher died in a tragic road accident. The actor was on his way to his engagement ceremony and was forced to drive despite a long-tiring shoot at 2:30 am. The actor was supposed to travel by train but was forced to drive his scorpio as he had missed the train due to the long shoot.
Suraj reportedly got numerous calls from his family during the shoot but could not take most of them due to being busy with the shoot. The actor’s family wanted him to leave early to reach the ceremony on time.

Sadly, Suraj’s car rammed into a speeding pick up truck and the actor died on the spot. The accident took place on the actor’s engagement day which was scheduled to take place in Odisha. The fateful pickup truck was coming from the Sarasiwa area near Pipedula.
The accident could have been avoided had the shoot got over on time. Time and again actors from the film and Tv fraternity have complained of long exhausting working hours. The fact that Suraj was working even on the day of his engagement is proof that actors have no breathing space and time for their personal commitments.
