MUMBAI: Sasural Simar Ka 2 started with Gitanjali Devi entrusting Simar Bhardwaj with the task of finding an ideal bride for her grandson. Simar's quest ends when she meets her namesake, Simar Narayan, who dreams of making it big as a singer.
The lead cast includes Avinash Mukherjee, Radhika Muthukumar, Karan Sharma and Tanya Sharma while Krutika Desai as Dhami has entered as an antagonist.

Simar unpacks her bag and arranges everything back to the way it was. Giriraj and Chitra come back to the house and draw a line till the front door declaring a partition. Dhami chooses to be with Giriraj. The Oswal family hears sounds of music coming from Giriraj’s part of the house and it is shown that Yamini is singing and there are audiences listening to her sing. Seeing Geetanjali Devi disturbed by this, Simar walks up to the temple and starts singing aarti. Listening to Simar sing, Yamini tells her that her musical notes are wrong, but Geetanjali Devi defends her. Dhami suggests they compete in a musical battle. Simar agrees on the condition that whoever wins will get back the house. The whole of Agra gets excited for the competition.
