Eagle Films’ <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/slideshow/launch-sab-tvs-jeannie-aur-juju-0>Jeannie Aur Juju</a> on SAB TV, is currently going through moments of comedy.

<a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/ashiesh-roy-roped-jeannie-aur-juju-sab-tv>Ashiesh Roy</a>, who recently began shooting for Eagle Films’ new show Jeanie Aur Juju for SAB TV, was seen seeking Maa Durga’s blessings at several Durga Puja pandals across Mumbai, with his co star <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/jhumma-mitra-and-harsh-khurana-roped-jeannie-aur-juju>Jhumma Mitra</a>. Shared Ashiesh, “Jhumma, my co-star, and I had only one day off from the shooting and when Jhumma suggested that ‘we seek the blessings of Maa Durga for our new show,’ I readily agreed.”

Yesterday (6 September 2012), we wrote about <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/ashiesh-roy-roped-jeannie-aur-juju-sab-tv>Ashiesh Roy</a> being roped in for the project to play the role of Chatur Sen. Furthermore, the latest we have learnt is that Jhumma Mitra and Harsh Khurana has also been brought on board.

Eagle Film’s new show Jeannie Aur Juju on SAB TV is all set to go on air from this month (September). The news has already hit the headlines about Giaa Maanek be playing the character of Jeannie in the project. Furthermore, rib-tickler Ali Asgar will play the character of Vicky master. And the latest we have heard is that actor <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/ashiesh-roys-sab-tv-awards-nomination>Ashiesh Roy</a> has also been signed to play an important role in the series. Ashiesh is also currently seen in <em>Sasural Simar Ka</em> produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms (Colors).

Ashiesh Roy is on cloud nine these days and with good reason too. The actor, who’s currently seen as Surendra Bharadwaj in Colors’ soap <em>Sasural Simar Ka</em>, has been nominated for ‘Best Supporting Actor’ in the upcoming <em>Sab Ke Anokhe Awards</em>, being organized by Sony SAB TV. Ashiesh has been nominated for his outstanding portrayal of the dreaded underworld don Anna in the <em>Mrs. & Mr. Sharma Allahabad Wale</em>.

Today (18 May 2012) is the birthday of three TV personalities, veteran actor <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/farida-jalal-aka-badi-jiji-return-balika-vadhu>Farida Jalal</a>, <a hrefhttp://www.tellychakkar.com/news/ashiesh-roy-sasural-simar-ka>Ashiesh Roy</a> and <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/sony-entering-early-prime-time-slot-khotey-sikkey>Vikas Kumar</a>.

<a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/ashiesh-roy-turns-politician-laapataganj>Ashiesh Roy</a>, last seen in <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/mrs-and-mr-allahabadwale-makes-way-mrs-tendulkar>Mrs & Mr Sharma Allahabadwale</a> will be part of Sunrise Productions’ <em><a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/rashmi-sharma-produce-sasural-simar-ka>Sasural Simar Ka</a></em> on Colors.

Of late <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/snippets/ashiesh-roy-sold-slum-kids>Ashiesh Roy</a> has been satisfying his craving for good roles. And so his latest outing will be in <em>Laapataganj</em>. Says Roy, “<em>Laapataganj</em> is without doubt my favorite show on TV these days, and acting in it is like a dream come true. I’ve long been a huge fan of Ashwini Dheer. He’s a brilliant writer. I just finished shooting for a terrific story, and am feeling on top of the world.”

Ashiesh Roy will now be seen in SAB’s Yeh Chanda Kanoon Hai in which he will play the Oscar-winning music director A R Rahman. He is naturally on cloud nine. “It is not everyday that an actor gets to play a living legend like Rahman. The producers were searching for a musically-inclined actor to play the composer. Rajan Wagdhare, the director suggested my name to them. I had earlier portrayed Mehmood <em>saab’s</em> character from <em>Padosan</em> in his sitcom <em>Maniben.com</em>, and I guess, he thought I could do justice to this role as well,” says the actor.

The cast of Sri Adi Manav will bring in the New Year with actor Ashiesh Roy, who will be seen in a cameo appearance on the show. Roy who was on a voluntary break from television is now making a comeback after six months with good friend Paritosh Painter’s <em><a href= http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/riya-sen-sri-adi-manav>Sri Adi Manav</a></em> in a special New Year episode. Few know that Ashiesh was Painter’s original chosen to play Sri in the show, as he plays the character in Paritosh’s play of the same name.
