Not many know that the climax of Ek Thi Daayan was shot only a few days back, barely a month before the release of the film. And it was a deliberate move. Balaji was keen to keep the film's climax hidden till the very end rather than letting the suspense leak out, which is common these days. Therefore, as a precautionary move, it was decided to shoot the climax as late as possible.

Balaji Motion Pictures has joined hands with Pritish Nandy Communications (PNC) to produce the sequel of PNC’s 2006 hit <em>Pyaar Ke Side Effects</em>. The sequel titled <em>Shaadi Ke Side Effects</em> stars Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan in principal roles. They are joined by Vir Das, Ram Kapoor and his wife Gautami, singer-actress Ila Arun and legendary singer Hariharan who will play Farhan’s father in the film. Saket Chaudhary, director of the original, would also direct the sequel.

Balaji head honcho Ekta Kapoor and director Mohit Suri have cast Sidharth Malhotra to play the lead in their forthcoming film tentatively titled <em>The Villain</em>. Since the makers were looking for a rugged, good looking action star, Sidharth effortlessly fits the bill. This film also marks Mohit's first film outside the Bhatt camp.
