The actor's mum feels that Lord Ganesh's blessings have worked wonders for her daughter Amrita. As the only child, her parents showered unconditional love on her and even forgave her follies. Amrita Prakash, aka Sanskrti of <em> Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai</em> fame, is one such lucky girl.

I can not wear saris and mangalsutra at this point in my career," declares the fresh new face on the tube, Amrita Prakash. The gorgeous actor has debuted on the small screen as in Zee's latest daily,<em> Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai</em>. The young lady had been approached by well known production houses but she politely turned it down and opted for <em> Har Ghar …..</em> "I was caught up with something so had to reject the offers. When this Zee show came my way, I took it. The reason being, I liked the script and most importantly my character," states Amrita.

The orthodox doctrine, 'models can't act' has already been proved wrong by the saucy and sultry Nethra Raghuraman, with her sojourn in Bollywood (read Bhopal Express). She's also tried her luck at television, though not as an actor but as a host for shows, namely Jubilee Plus and <em> Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai.</em> And now after almost a span of two years, this supermodel, once again, gets into the shoes of an anchor for a Bollywood centric show, B News on Zee Muzic. And sharing the screen space with her over the filmi gyaan will be actor cum pop singer Vikas Bhalla.

It's the age of remix and recomposition, rework and reconstruction. Star One seems to have adopted this mantra to refresh its Sunday programmes. The channel has just replaced the hosts on three of its morning shows. The reason? "We do 13 shows with a host for the Sunday brunch line-up. Hosts of shows that have completed 13 episodes have been changed," explains Star One programming head Ravi Menon. "Viewers would see a change in the host again after 13 episodes," adds Menon.
