Star Plus’ Bidaai, serial sans glam quotient is consistently garnering a TRP of four plus despite its simplicity and no saas-bahu slant to sail it through.
What sets this serial apart from other soaps in the league is its regular introduction of cameos that attach one link of the story to another and makes it interesting. Till now Mahesh Thakur, Manish Raisinghania, Neeta Shetty, Rucha Gujrati and Vishal Singh have made cameo appearances in the Sapna Babul Ka-Bidaai.

After doing some forgettable roles in films, the actor with unusual looks and an attitude to die for has bagged a meaty role in Sanjay Gupta's upcoming flick Alibaug. The film also stars Manasi and Rohit Roy, Diya Mirza, Sanjay Suri, and Sophie Chaudhry.
"It's a story about few college friends who come together after a long time. I'm playing the role of a skeptical writer," says Samir.

Called up Maninee De on her cell to convey new year wishes when her daughter Dianoor took the call to say "Mummy is not well. She is resting." Nevertheless the actor did come on the line but sounded very weak and uneasy as she mumbled, "I am having chest pain and the doctor has been called in."
A week ago, her in-laws had come down and she was busy attending to them as a good daughter-in-law should. Then too,she had complained of chest pain during the conversation.
