Veteran TV and theatre actor <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/bharti-achrekar-namrata-thapa-rajendra-gupta-sab-tvs-radhika-rasoos>Rajendra Gupta</a>, who plays the wise Babujii in SAB TV’ s popular show Chidiya Ghar, feels that what works for this Ashwini Dhir production is its diverse and interesting characters.

Looks like today, there’s load full of birthday parties happening. Earlier, we wrote about Ashish Kapoor and Soumya Seth observing their birthdays today. Now we come up with four biggies of Indian television who are also in a mood to party. They are veteran Gujarati actress Sarita Joshi, who will soon be seen in <em>Byaah Hamari Bahu Ka</em> on Sony Entertainment Television, Rajendra Gupta of <em>Chidiya Ghar</em> fame, Mansoor Das who was recently seen in Madhur Bhandarkar’s <em>Heroine</em> and lastly Bhavna Balsaver, who was last seen in the silent comedy <em>Gutur Gu</em>.

It seems to be the ‘jail’ season on Indian television. We have already written about Babuji (Rajendra Gupta) going behind the bars in SAB TV’s Chidiya Ghar and the latest one who will experience the aloofness of prison walls is Pashu Bhaiya (Rajendra Chawla) in Optimystix’s show Saas Bina Sasural (Sony Entertainment Television).

SAB TV’s show <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/chidiya-ghars-gadha-prasad-get-kidnapped>Chidiya Ghar</a> has managed to strike a chord amongst the masses within few months of its launch. And its characters, Gadha Prasad, Ghotak or even Mayuri, are being loved and liked by one and all.

Candid Creations which has been making ad films since the last twenty years is all set to make their television debut under the banner Ron Creations Pvt Ltd owned by Aban Deohans and Kiran Deohans. They have planned four shows for Colors, Star Plus, Sony and SAB. At this moment the only show which has been finalised is for SAB TV and is tentatively called <em>Radhika Rasoos</em> and not <em>Radhika Jasoos</em> as reported by a section of the media.

<a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/chandrakanta-returns-sahara-one>Chandrakanta</a>, an Indian fantasy television series which kept the audience glued to the television sets will now be seen on Sahara One from June 6 on a prime time slot.

Sunil Agnihotri Productions’ <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/chandrakanta-returns-sahara-one>Kahani Chandrakanta Ki</a> had got delayed but now it’s slated to go on air in May. A source says, “The show was initially to go on air sometime in March but since its actors <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/mahavir-singh-returns-balika>Rajendra Gupta</a> and Vinod Kapoor met with a serious accident last month, the show had to be postponed. Vinod has recovered from the accident but Rajendra is still recovering from his leg and spine injury.
