Sangam
A long running show is always incomplete without a leap which offers new twists and tales to the show. Keeping up with the trend is Star Plus' <em>Sangam</em>. The show is all set to take a leap of six to seven years which means that there will be new entries, an attempt to generate more viewership.

Popularly known as Soniya of<em> Bidaai</em>, she has bagged another serial on Star Plus. The pretty actress has replaced Nidhi Seth in <em>Sangam </em> as Kaveri, Ganga's sister in the show. She is pretty excited about her new venture.
"Yes I'm playing the role of Kaveri in the show," confirms Madhura
Were you aware of the replacement? "I don't know about that. I have not even met the actress who was playing Kaveri. I was called for a look test and it did match with the character and I was finalised."

It’s that time of the year again when viewers vote for their favourite Star Plus’ characters at the <em>Star- parivaar awards.</em>
This time round the viewers will see performance from the new characters as the old parivaar characters make way for the new characters.
Characters from <em> Baa Bahu Aur Baby, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Bidaai, Grahasti, Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil,</em> Sachin-Supriya; Hussain-Tina; Aamir-Sanjeeda, the three winning<em> Nach Baliye Jodis</em> will perform.

Shaleen Bhanot, who will soon be seen in Star's <em> Sangam</em> loves to put on his dancing shoes when not shooting. This new kid on the block is a proficient dancer and just hold your breath; it seems he's good at Kathak, Salsa, Jazz, Rajasthani folk and Bollywood dancing too.
"I was always fascinated by dance. It helps me understand my body language. Since my childhood, I always wanted to learn many forms of dance. I took baby steps to pursue my hobby by joining Shamak Dawar's classes during my school days, " says Shaleen.

Looks like cry baby Jennifer `Sneha' Winget has finally grown up! The actor has just signed on her first lead role with Fox production's new show for Star Plus titled <em>Sangam.</em>
"I play the protagonist Ganga and the story revolves around my trials and tribulations. It traces the character's growth from an ordinary girl to a woman of substance, Right now, I can't reveal more about the show," says Jennifer flashing her cute smile.
So what attracted you towards <em>Sangam</em> ? "It's a very positive and strong role; quite unlike my<em> Kasauti</em> character."

Fox Productions is coming up with another serial called <em>Sangam</em> for Star Plus. No sooner did it announce its debut serial <em>Meri Awaaz Ko Sun Lo</em>, Fox Productions has another in its kitty but is keeping it under wraps. The buzz goes that this show might go on to replace <em>Kesar.</em>
