Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts, one of the India’s leading Entertainment companies celebrated its 34th Anniversary yesterday (24 October). The date has become synonymous with the Bombay film industry, as it is the day that Ghai announces new slate of films that the company will work in the coming year.

Subhash Ghai wants his hit films to be remade in Tamil and Telugu

Twenty nine years after veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai made Hero that marked the debut film of Jackie Shroff, it is learnt that he is currently negotiating with a number of leading South Indian producers to have his films like <em>Karz</em> (1980), <em>Karma</em> (1986), <em>Aitraaz</em> (2004) and <em>Hero</em> remade in Tamil and Telugu. When we spoke to Ghai about the same, he softly replied, “Yes, we are in talks for the remakes of our films, but it’s too soon to come out with any details.” Looks like, he wants to talk about it only after everything is finalised.

Gear up for Subhash Ghai's next - a musical thriller titled Kaanchi

Subhash Ghai has set a new title of his next directorial, a love story cum musical thriller. The film christened Kaanchi will comprise a new star cast who will team up with veteran actor Rishi Kapoor who will essay the role of a villain, according to a statement issued by the production house Mukta Arts. The 67-year-old last directed the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer <em>Yuvvraaj</em>.

Ghai to do a film with the Deol trio

Putting his past behind when he was caught in controversy around his institute Whistling Woods International, Subhash Ghai has gone ahead with his future projects, one of which is joining hands with Rishi Kapoor with whom he worked in his 1980 hit <em>Karz</em>, for his yet untitled project that will also mark his return to direction after a gap of four years. For the other project that he has in mind, Ghai is reportedly to be in talks with Sunny Deol. The idea was to take the concept that the two had already discussed in the recent past, ahead.

After Karz, Rishi Kapoor to team up again with Subhash Ghai

They made history together in 1980 with Karz, considered by many to be the best work of producer-director Subhash Ghai and the versatile actor Rishi Kapoor. And now 32 years later Rishi Kapoor is back in Ghai’s next directorial venture where Rishi will play an out-and-out villain, though with an unexpected twist. Keeping in mind Rishi’s immensely popular image of the stage performer in <em>Karz</em>, his character in Ghai’s next would be a musician.

Subhash Ghai signs Salman Khan for his next action film

Keeping the ifs and buts behind them, Salman Khan has decided to work in the next project of Subhash Ghai that he would wield the megaphone for. The director teams up with Salman for an action packed <em>masala</em> entertainer. Confirming his return to direction, Ghai has said, "I am returning to direction. I have two films, one with Salman that I will start next year while the other I will start shooting this year." Incidentally, Ghai had stopped directing films to concentrate on his film school Whistling Woods International.
