Subhash Ghai looking for a young girl to play lead in his next film Kaanchi

Having announced that his next directorial venture would be Kaanchi, Subhash Ghai is frantically in search of a teenage girl who would play the title role. Said Ghai in a statement, “After going through the whole script of Kaanchi, we are confident that whoever plays Kaanchi will be superstar overnight after the release of the film. According to me, this is the best woman-oriented film ever written or presented till now in Hindi cinema. And this is the best script of mine so far written with so much passion, energy and drama of today. I am too excited to start my film but am waiting for that lucky girl who will play Kaanchi.” Ghai has already signed veterans Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty for the film. When we asked Ghai about the kind of a girl he was looking out, he observed, “I am looking for a girl aged between 19 and 21, she should me of medium height, have a sports girl physic, should be fair with bright eyes, should be an extrovert and vocal by nature with fair amount of talent. We can take care of the rest by giving her special training as required by the script.”
