Best Friends Forever (Channel V)- This show with three hot and pretty girls as leads projected the tale of their friendship and how they get involved in a crime accidently. Starring Charlie Chauhan, Sritama Mukherjee and Fenil Umrigar, the show, even though did not manage to rock in content and the necessary mystery value, the trio managed to prove their acting mettle. You can always vote for this show because of these three beauties.
Crazy Stupid Ishq (Channel V)- This breezy fresh show was based on the complications of friendship and love. Starring new faces Vishal Vashishth, Aneri Vajani, Harsh Rajput and Hiba Nawab the show was really popular with the fans although numbers deceived the makers once again. Nevertheless the show had a definite ending and entertained the audience well with some fantastic music concerts and exciting turns. Vote for it if you too feel that when friendship and love mix, they create a deadly complication.
Dil Dostii Dance (Channel V)- This show surely needs no introduction. The first in TV shows with dance as the pivotal plot, the show managed to grab eyeballs from the very beginning. Talented dancers entertained you with some superb dance moves with an added flavour of some refreshing college romance and bonding between friends. It also made stars out of actors like Kunwar Amar, Shakti Mohan, Shantanu Maheshwari, Vrushika Mehta and Vrinda Dawda. With controversies shrouding the show in the past month, let’s see how it fares in the New Year. Vote for it if you are sure it will only get interesting in the near future.
Gumrah- End of Innocence (Channel V)- The show changed the scene of youth related crimes in India. Coming as a messiah and warning the youth how a moment of non-judgment could spoil your life. Karan Kundra acted as the perfect host. Helmed by creative honcho Vikas Gupta and Ekta Kapoor the show today is running its third season successfully. Gumrah has managed to do really well with its spine chilling real life incident based episodics that somewhere or the other has managed to aware the young audience. Vote for it if you agree!!!
MTV Webbed- Another prodigy from the same production houses (Lost Boy Productions and Balaji), this time they are out to aware the viewers about the ugly web of internet. The show also attracts the viewers with every episode having a related celebrity narrating the episode to the viewers making them connect to the tale. The show had also managed to top the charts (among youth shows) some weeks back proving the popularity it has received in some weeks. Vote for it if you feel that this show has managed to bring to the fore the gory side of the cyber world.
Roadies X (MTV)- Well well, the show has been around for a decade and has still managed to bring the youth out and take insult on themselves by the deadly trio- Raghu and Rajiv Laxman and the first Roadies winner Rannvijay Singh. With interesting and challenging tasks on the go, the show is worshipped by the youth who want to ‘prove’ themselves; prove what? Well depends on individuals. Similarly you might have a different reason to vote for Roadies, do it now!
Suvreen Guggal- Topper of the Year (Channel V)- Like every show on Channel V, this show too opened up to a lot of expectations. A young girl who is intelligent, smart, confident was out to take the world on her own. The show managed to do well with the leads Smriti Kalra and Shivin Narang becoming a favourite with the youngsters. Even when the serial was entertaining the masses, the leading lady was tired playing the same role and opted to quit, leading it to closure. But with a sequel in line, vote for the show if it’s your favourite.
The Buddy Project (Channel V)- This one managed to win ‘The Best Youth Show’ in our in-house 12th Indian Telly Awards proving its mettle. The show portrayed the bond and life of buddies who studied in the same school. And now having moved to college, life has brought different set of challenges and twists, but what remains the same is the friendship between their group members. Vote for this show if you feel the buddies’ rock!
Channel V recently opted for a revamp with the launch of its four new shows- a daily, Sadda Haq: My Life My Choice and three bi-weeklies- a thriller, Paanch- 5 Wrongs Make A Right, a rom-com, It’s Complicated- Relationship Ka Naya Status and a reality, Confessions of an Indian Teenager. With just a few episodes gone, we will wait and watch the shows’ progress before we can judge them better. Hopefully we’ll find them in the list next year!
