I was, I am and will always be my Daddy’s little girl

Daddy
Even when you turn 70 and have wrinkles all over your face, you will still be his princess. And at times when you feel low, his memories and advices would never falter to make a gloomy day as sunny as a summer morning. Just when you think you are about to fall, you’d feel his protective arms holding you close. He is your hero, your savior, the first man you ever fell in love with in your life. Yes, he is your Dad. And today as we celebrate Father’s Day, Tellychakkar.com asks the beautiful divas of the television industry to share their “I am my Daddy’s girl” moment and memories. Ragini Khanna: My Dad is a very stern and strict person and finds it difficult to express his feelings. Only one glare was more than enough for us to gauge the fact that something was not right. But once, when it was my cousin’s bidaai, for the first time in my life I saw my Dad shed tears. It was a small yet a very important moment for me. Now I know how important I am to my father, and even if he doesn’t say much, I know he will miss me the most when I get married. Sanjeeda Sheikh: My Dad was hardly with us when I was young. He was working in Quwait and I always craved to have my Dad near me and missed him a lot. I remember that once, I was very young and it was my birthday. And my Dad gave me a surprise visit on my birthday and I was on the top of the world. It was my best birthday ever. Divyanka Tripathi: I am extremely close to my Dad. There are so many memories that it is difficult to pick one. My mummy always told me that when I was really small, may be 3-4 months old, my dad was always busy. But the moment he entered home late, I used to be wide awake in glee to play with him. I and my Dad are similar in a lot of ways be it in terms of reacting to situations or habits. The weirdest thing is whenever I suffer any health disorder, he also suffers it at the same time. I think my umbilical cord was more attached to my Dad as compared to my Mom. He is the most important person in my life. Sukriti Kandpal: The best thing my Dad did for me was that he sent me to Mumbai at the age of 13. He had a lot of trust in me. I think 13 is a very young age and he showed so much confidence in me. Whatever I am today is all because of him and I love him for that. Today I am confident, fearless and am capable of handling things all by myself. And all thanks to my dad. Nia Sharma: Ever since I was young, all my memories with my Dad have been the ones I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. I remember every time he used to come for PTA meetings to my school, whenever any of my teachers complained about me, he always defended me and saved my back. No matter how bad I was, for my Dad I was always the cutest, brightest and prettiest girl! I love him! Kratika Sengar: I had the time of my life with my Dad. And he has always been a support and guide through every phase of my life. When I was small, I wanted to learn how to ride a bicycle but I was petrified at the thought of falling off it and having cuts and bruises. He told me, he will hold the seat while I drive; initially he did and once I reached the set finish line I turned around and realized he was somewhere far and he had this triumphant smile on his face. I learned something from my Dad that day- feel the fear, but do it anyway. Daughter will always be special to their fathers while the father will continue to be the ultimate superheroes in their daughter’s lives. And as we bid adieu, we salute their love for each other and wish all the Daddies, a very Happy Father’s Day!
