#Mother'sDay: Different shades of on-screen mothers

Remember the iconic dialogue from the film Deewar- Mere Paas Maa Hain? Oh, how privileged are the fans of telly world, cause they don’t only have one Maa but many mother figures. And some of them are iconic ones too. But if you minutely observe the small screen mothers, you can surely figure out different shades of motherliness in them.

And on this Mother’s Day, we bring to you the top ten shades of mothers on television. Take a look…

Lovey-dovey mom

They are the epitome of motherliness; nothing can alter their love for their babies. From the time of the inception of daily dramas till the end of time, affectionate mommy dears in the form of Ishita and Anandi have dominated and will continue to dominate the small screen with their love and affection.

No-nonsense mom

Here come some real strict on-screen moms; any irritating behaviour or idiotic talk and your dear mother will take the shit out of you. And definitely topping this chart will be Ragini and Bhabho, who believe in a disciplined upbringing for their children.

Bindaas mom

Coolest and funkiest of all of the maas is this kind of mommies. Any kid would die to get such crazy and funny moms like Mrs. Bhalla or Dayaben. Their happy-go-lucky nature or carefree attitude is a rock solid support for their kids and can simply make their day.

Hot mom

These sexy moms are a step ahead of their beta and betis. Think of Falguni or Tapasya or Archana, they look much hotter than their daughters. We wonder how they look so effortlessly gorgeous even after being a mother of one or two.

Historical mom

With so many historical shows on screen, these mothers have actually helped to shape up the history of India. Be it Dharma or Jaivantabai or Jodha Bai, they have their fair share of fame in the history books and have actually added value to the society.

Fashionista mom

They are the ultimate glam divas on screen. Think of Sakshi Goenka or Avantika or Shagun, whatever happens in the story, their designer wear and make up always remain intact. Every daughter would die to have such a collection of cosmetics or dresses. Oh don’t miss their hairdos; another thing worth paying attention to!!

Reel mom

To be honest these types of maas are hard to find in real life. These adarsh mummies exist only on screen as Tulsi, Parvati and Prerna, who fiercely love their children. But if their beloved child crosses the line they can severely punish their lovely betas. And the punishment can range from sending them for imprisonment to shooting them with a gun.

Step mom

There is no universal defining character of step mothers. Their range may vary from being wicked, cunning like Guman to mamta ki murat like Pakhi. Whatever their character is, they deserve a special mention on our list.

Dangerous mom

The ultimate baddie moms of television are these kinds of moms. Be it Niyonika or Tanveer, they can harm anyone to fulfill their own motive. We generally don’t mess with them and maintain a distance.

Don mom

Even the mere name of Amma ji or Bhanvri devi can have a spine chilling effect on you. They will be the last type of mom, one can ask for. Gun shots, fighting with people, these are regular affairs for them. Having such mommas is equivalent to surviving mini heart attacks every single second.

We hope we haven’t missed anyone, and if we have, feel free to remind us in the comment section below. And if you love the daily soap mothers, then share and retweet.
