Good always triumphs over evil!!!
Today is the auspicious festival of Dussehra and the entire atmosphere is filled with ecstasy and positivity.
On this special occasion, as the nation celebrates Dussehra, popular TV actors from Zee TV spoke about this great day when Lord Ram killed the demon king Ravan. Read on....
Ravi Dubey as Satya in Jamai Raja: The thought behind Dussehra is very strong and holds a lot of meaning even in contemporary scenarios. Good always triumphs over evil. The essence of the festival is that an individual is on the right path as long as he adheres to his core morals and values and this is what I believe in. Let this festival bring more joy, happiness and positive vibes into everyone’s life.
Ashmit Patel as Faisal in Amma: This Dussehra I performed at a Ramleela in Delhi, playing Ram’s brother Bharat. It brought me closer to the ideology that exists behind celebrating the day. I remember that during Dussehra we used to go watch the Raavan burn down to ashes, which was very exciting at that point of time. The struggle of choosing between good and evil can be tricky at times but it is up to us to stay on track and keep a balance. If we notice negative trends in society, we are the ones equipped to put an end to them or at least raise a voice against them. As Gandhiji has rightly said, 'Be the change you want to see’.
Eisha Singh as Rani in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani: There is no denying that there is evil in this world but there is light at the end of every dark tunnel. There is always the hope that justice will prevail and all things bad will perish while the good will thrive. I think Dussehra is the perfect example of this faith as it is believed that on this day Lord Rama killed the demon king Ravana and rescued his abducted wife Sita. As kids, we used to roam around in our town from one pandal to another and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
Shiny Doshi as Mahi in Jamai Raja: I remember that every Dussehra we used to have a gathering that we all looked forward to. We also used to play garba on this day as well as it was immediately after Navratri. Also there used to be plenty of delicacies, especially sweets to gorge on. I believe that bad things always have an end and that good always triumphs over evil. This festival is a celebration of truth's victory.
Harsh Vashisht as Parimal in Sanyukt: Dussehra symbolises the victory of good over evil which is a continuous struggle in modern life. One must strive to be good at all times and ward off negativity. I have visited a few Ramleelas in Delhi during Dussehra and the memories are special. Let’s bring joy and positivity to everyone around this Dussehra.
Rohan Gandotra as in Kaala Teeka: I've always believed that there is no good or evil. It is just your deeds that are either positive or negative. And invariably, you will see that positive actions result in positive outcomes. As kids, my brother and I used to make a miniature Raavan with firecrackers and burn it. The festival for me is all about wishing my friends, my fans and gorging on a lot of yummy food.
Happy Dussehra to all!!!
