MUMBAI: Petite actress and the beautiful 'cousin' of the town, Aneri Vajani is soon be making her comeback with Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka season 2. Aneri is said to play the role of Pari in the show. Actors Kunal Jaisingh and Tejaswi Prakash will also be a part of the show.
Last seen in Sony TV’s Beyhadh, Aneri is super cool and has a chilled out and vibrant personality in real life. She has the ability to turn heads with her sense of humour and spunk.
In a candid chat with TellyChakkar, Aneri spoke at length about her break, getting bold on-screen, working in multi-star projects, and much more. Read the interview below.
How was your break?
Well, a whole lot has happened since Beyhadh wrapped. I think I had to stop to take it all in, the success of show included. And after bagging a show like that, one that is out of the ordinary saas-bahu sagas, to be cast along side some of televisions strongest icons as co-stars, you just decide for yourself that what follows next has to be befitting if not better. So between few fashion shoots; reviewing scripts; spending time with family, friends, and people who matter, I have basically been chilling. And I'm quite glad I did. It’s given me time to prep and groom as well. In fact I’ve always taken a break after each of my previous shows ended. But now it is back to work, ready and raving for my third innings on TV.

What made you sign Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka?
It’s a compelling script with the generation leap. It’s interesting to see it with a fresh set of eyes. A do-over that’s not really a do-over. The first leg of the show was critically acclaimed. I honestly think TV is bringing content closer to reality and issues that need attention, and it’s great to be part of something that keeps the conversation up.
You were a part Beyhadh, which was a multi-starrer project, and again, Silsila is going to have quite a few known names from the industry. Do you feel insecure, pressure or
Competition because of the same?
No reason for apprehension or insecurity at all. I think each actor is cast based on the character they have to portray. It is written with the actress in mind and careful thought goes into drawing up a great script. No one could’ve nailed Maya better than Jennifer Winget. I am an absolute fan and love her. We got along famously and I am looking forward to sharing screen space with both Tejaswi and Kunal.
Since the digital space is more bold in terms of content, are you in for bold scenes?
Will state both cliches here: slow and steady and if the script and character demands it. Besides, I’m still quite new to the industry to be jumping the gun this early on.
Are you ready for regional content?
Again, all in due time. It may be a good thing, not putting all your eggs in one basket.
What do you have to say about your co-actors Kunal Jaisingh and Tejaswi Prakash?
I’ve known Kunal for quite sometime now, and the show has definitely put good thought into picking the actors. It’ll be great to see what each of us brings to our characters, what chemistry pans out through it, and where that takes the show.
Here’s wishing the gorgeous actress good luck for her new innings.
