"I would rate Virrudh higher than Kyunki" Achint Kaur

A few years ago, Achint Kaur replaced one of the most high profile vamps on television - Mandira in Kyunki. In just a few months, she turned out to be a show stopper. But that's history now. Currently, the actor known for her devil-may-care attitude is doing a fab job as Vedika in Virrudh. In the serial, Vedika is a rebel with a cause. She's an alcoholic and honest to the point of being blunt. Well, we at tellychakkar.com think that Achint's super glamourous and unconventional look in the serial has not ever been seen on Indian television.

Here's a Q-n-A with this lanky lass who doesn't mince her words to say to declare, "Virrudh is anytime a better serial than Kyunki." Well, well… read on How has it been working with Smriti Irani's Virrudh? Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! At a time when saas-bahu sagas reign supreme on the small screen, Virrudh has offered a fresh lease of life to not just viewers but even actors. After a long time, I'am getting to play a character role and I'm enjoying every bit of it. You're working with senior artists like Vikram Gokhale. Was it difficult to match up to them? Difficult! No not at all. In fact, it's a matter of great pride working with such fine artists; especially a legend like Vikram Gokhale. He's always there to help you with his priceless inputs. It's a great opportunity to learn from such fine actors. The buzz goes that you'll be back in Kyunki..? (Shocked) Now, where did you get this story from But would you like to return to the show? Now that's a hypothetical question which I'm in no position to answer. For such a probability to arise we need to sit down and talk it out with everybody involved. Honestly, right now there's no such possibility. Do you rate Virrudh higher than Kyun Ki..? No two ways about it. As a matter of fact, there' s no comparison between both the shows. Viruddh is a character oriented show. It deals with ordinary people and one can relate to the situations in the show. I think what sets it apart is that it's not a commercial but a very genuine show. It's raining sequels both in the TV and film industry. So, can we expect the return of trendsetters like Saaya, Kitty Party or Banegi Apni Baat? It would be great, but at the moment it looks very unlikely. It truly was a joyous experience. I remember having great fun while working in Kitty Party. I developed a great rapport with my co-stars, and even after it was over, we continue to remain in touch with each other. As for Saaya, it was indeed Kamya's character which truly personifies me. So, I would love to play the same character again, but in the current scenario, it's very unlikely. Is it difficult being a mother as well as an actress? Why should it be? After all, I'm not the only working mother around. It's a part and parcel of life. Besides, I'm very finicky about my working hours, and thereby I buy enough time to be with my son. You've been living with Mohan for so many years. Any marriage plans in the offing? NO! (Vehemently) Any new offers from Bollywood? At the moment, I'm completely busy with tv, but if any plum role comes up my way, I'll be more than happy to take it up. TV actors do get offers but often the budget is too low and also we tend to go unnoticed in the film. Finally, is Achint Kaur happy with life? Perfectly happy! My life has been full of various highs and lows, and this has enabled me to stay firm on my feet. I cherish all the good moments and I don't regret much over my wrongdoings. I always want to be myself and I am glad that I have been able to achieve this in my life
