Both the player are really talented and have proved their mettle constantly by giving some amazing performances on crucial occasions.
Last year, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant were in a battle to achieve the highest pay-check in the league’s history. The auction for the upcoming season has begun and while Shreyas created history, bagging the highest amount, it was surprising to see how Rishabh topped him.
Here’s what has got the fans attention – Shreyas Iyer started his career in 2015 with Delhi Daredevils (which is now Delhi Capitals). In the first season, he collected Rs 2.60 Cr. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant also started his career with the same team in 2016 and collected a good amount of Rs 1.90 Cr.
In 2018, Shreyas Iyer got a massive pay-check of Rs 7 Cr by Delhi as he showed some amazing batting skills. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant, also got a massive hike and was paid Rs 8 Cr thanks to his impressive hitting and wicket-keeping skills.
In 2021, Rishabh Pant bagged 15 Cr and the amount went up to 16 Cr for years after that till 2024. This time, during the auction of IPL 2025, he was bought by Lucknow Supergiants at a whopping 27 Cr, making him the most expensive player in the history of IPL.
When taken the amount in an overall perception, Shreyas Iyer has collected a total of 99.30 Cr from his IPL contracts over the years but when comparing him with Rishabh Pant, the latter enjoys a total collection of 117.80 Cr.
