MUMBAI: Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar is pretty active on social media. In his latest Instagram post, he has mentioned something interesting and beautiful about Mirabai Chanu who is currently winning hearts with her latest win.
Saikhom Mirabai Chanu is currently the talk of the town for all the amazing reasons.
The young sports star, who was born on 8 August 1994 in Nongpok Kakching about 30 Km away from Imphal city, Manipur, has done amazing at the Tokyo Olympics. She has won a silver in women's weightlifting (49 kg).
Today Sachin Tendulkar took to his social media page and shared two pictures. In the candid pictures, the legendary cricketer and the weightlifter can be seen sharing a light moment. It sees Mirabai showing her medal to Sachin Tendulkar.
Sharing these clicks, Sachin Tendulkar wrote, “@mirabai_chanu can lift spirits as easily as she lifts weights! Was wonderful spending time with you. You’re a champion whose journey can inspire several more champions! Keep soaring in your life & career!”

Mirabai Chanu has won the World Championships and multiple medals at the Commonwealth Games. She is only the second Indian weightlifter to win a medal at Olympics. For her contribution to the world of sports, she has been awarded with Padma Shri and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award.
