150 episodes for DD's Amrita; gets an extension

Good news for all avid viewers of DD show Amrita. Produced by Harry Baweja, the serial has got an extension of 130 episodes. As per a reliable source, this Karan Razdan directorial project was to run only for 130 episodes but its rising numbers on the TRP charts got it 130 more. This is indeed a reason to smile for the cast and crew of Amrita but this is not the only one. The show will also complete 150 episodes this Friday and that definitely calls for more celebration. When contacted Swati Rajput, best known as Amrita, she said, “That's true we initially were to shoot for only 130 episodes but the show’s popularity got us a few more. In fact, I keep receiving a lot of messages from fans on my Facebook account. So, you know it’s getting popular.” Vijay Badlani the negative lead of the show too confirmed his team’s achievement and stated, "I'd never thought that a DD show could get this popular but it has and how. I am happy to be associated with it." Lastly, parallel lead Aditi Dadhich aka Shilpa averred, "This is my first daily soap and the experience has been wonderful. I've learnt a lot from my co-actors and Karan Sir." Congratulations team Amrita!
