Time to gear up for a new story!
Well, the upcoming story for Aakash Aath’s Ek Masher Golpo is Ananda Ashram, based on a novel by Shailajananda Mukhopadhyay.
Earlier, a film by the same name has been made which starred ace actors like Ashok Kumar, Uttam Kumar and Sharmila Tagore in lead roles.
So, is the coming series based on the film?
Debidas Bhattacharya, director of the show, said, “In the film, the main subject was same, which was about three generations, but it also focused on the love story. But in our story, it is more about the doctor and his responsibilities towards people. Here, we are emphasizing mainly on the dharma of a doctor.”
“And also, we are mainly following the novel,” he added.
Actors Achin Moitra, Raj Bhattacharyya, Sourabh Saha, Swarnakamal, Shubhashis Banerjee, Tapas Chakraborty and Sougata Sarkar among others are part of this project.
Tagore lovers would love to hear that a few Rabindra Sangeet have been used in the series.
So, gear up for the show. It will begin from 1 June airing every Monday to Saturday at 7 pm.
