MUMBAI: Digital sensation and popular YouTuber Abhishek Malhan, better known by his online alias Fukra Insaan, has reportedly sustained an unfortunate injury while filming for the reality series Battleground.
The Bigg Boss OTT 2 finalist, who has amassed a massive fan following thanks to his witty content and dynamic screen presence, is said to have dislocated his hand during a physically demanding task on set.
A viral video clip capturing the incident shows Abhishek taking a nasty fall while sprinting with a dumbbell during a challenge, leaving viewers visibly concerned.
In the footage, Abhishek is seen in clear pain as co-contestant Rajat Dalal and on-site medical staff rush to his aid. The severity of the injury was quickly assessed before he was taken to hospital for further treatment.
Currently sharing the screen with the likes of Asim Riaz, Rubina Dilaik, and Rajat Dalal, Abhishek’s journey on Battleground adds yet another milestone to his growing list of reality show appearances.
With previous stints hosting Temptation Island India and Playground Season 3, the content creator has firmly cemented his place in the entertainment space and has become a prominent youth icon across India.
In the midst of his recovery, Abhishek has also weighed in on a recent controversy involving singer Rahul Vaidya and cricket legend Virat Kohli. Rahul made headlines after referring to Kohli and his fans as "jokers", a statement that didn't sit well with many including Abhishek.
Responding in a candid and firm tone, Abhishek remarked: "Rahul, you should stick to singing. Look at who you're talking about — the G.O.A.T, Virat Kohli. He probably doesn’t even know who you are and definitely wouldn’t have the time to block you. You’re out here asking the paparazzi to go question him about blocking you seriously? It could’ve easily been a technical glitch. Even Prime Minister Modi once blocked me, and I knew it wasn’t intentional. Should I have made a big deal of it too? Just focus on your music and let this go.”
Abhishek’s grounded perspective and sharp response have resonated with fans, many of whom believe he’s made a valid point.
