MUMBAI: As 2024 draws to a close, actor Ray Parihar who is seen as Pratham in Jamai No. 1,  is looking back on what he calls an exciting and transformative year. From achieving career milestones to learning valuable lessons, Ray has every reason to celebrate a year of growth and hard work in the entertainment industry.

“2024 was fun,” Ray shared enthusiastically. “I learned so much both professionally and personally. On the career front, I worked with some amazing directors, met inspiring people, and made significant improvements in my craft. Personally, I brought about some major changes in my life. I firmly believe in karma—if you think and do good for others, good things will come back to you. Overall, the learnings and experiences from this year have been incredible.”

For Ray, 2024 was particularly special as it brought him a long-awaited opportunity. “I’m super satisfied with how things turned out this year,” he said. “Playing the negative lead in Rabb Se Hai Dua was a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to play a negative role on a show, and this year that dream was fulfilled. I owe it all to my directors—Raj bhai, Narinder bhai, and Yusuf sir—who guided me so well, as well as LSD Productions and our producers Parth Shah sir and Prateek Sharma sir, who gave me this wonderful opportunity. I’m truly grateful for their trust and support.”

One of the biggest lessons Ray learned this year was perseverance. “The biggest takeaway for me in 2024 is to never give up on your dreams and goals. If you have the courage and determination, you will achieve them,” he said. “Some of my goals were fulfilled this year, but there’s still so much to accomplish. I’m hopeful that 2025 will open the doors for those remaining goals.”

Looking ahead, Ray has set his sights high for the new year. “I have many goals for 2025,” he shared. “My first priority is to take our show Jamai No.1 to the top-rated show on Zee TV. Beyond that, I’m manifesting a major milestone for myself—playing a lead role as a male actor in a show. That’s my dream, and I’m working hard to make it a reality.”

When asked about his approach to self-improvement, Ray emphasized the importance of constant learning. “I always advise myself to keep learning—whether it’s from co-actors, senior actors, or my own performances. Each day is an opportunity to grow and get closer to my goals. I know I still have a long way to go, but I’m ready to let go of certain things in life and adopt new habits to become a better version of myself.”

For those hoping to break into the entertainment industry, Ray offers heartfelt advice: “Don’t get discouraged or distracted from your goals. Stay confident in what you’re doing. If you truly want to be an actor, stop making excuses and do everything in your power to achieve your dreams. It’s all about persistence. You may give 1,000 auditions, but that one successful audition will make you proud and justify all the hard work you put in.”
