Aditi Jaltare learns more about Vat Purnima on the set of Punyashlok Ahilyabai

MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television’s magnum opus, Punyashlok Ahilyabai highlights the iconic life story of Ahilyabai Holkar, summarizing the strength and courage of a woman who defied all odds in the 18th century and proved to be a name that not only went on to create history but also inspired generations to come. A lot of actors try to evoke experiences for themselves that are similar to what their characters are experiencing so that they can translate that well on the screen.

The actors associated with Punyashlok Ahilyabai have often commented how the show has been a turning point in their lives and the learning that they have imbibed through this show.

Just like any skilled actor who has their preferred way of preparing for a role, child actor Aditi Jatare who essays the lead role of Ahilyabai Holkar in the show goes the extra mile to get into the skin of her character. For one of the pivotal tracks of Vat Purnima, Aditi not just delivered her scenes but made an effort to understand the importance & significance of Vat Purnima. Being the youngest on the set, she surprised everyone with her dedication and drive to learn things the right way.

Sharing more on same, Aditi Jaltare said “I like to push myself hard as my character demands the best from me. I feel like I owe this to audience who have accepted me so whole-heartedly. I have learnt a lot on this show and I continue to learn every day. When we were shooting for the Vat Purnima sequence, I felt if I understood its significance, I would be able to deliver better. I have seen many Maharashtrian women observe this religious day in the past, but I didn’t know why. Every one on the set took great efforts to explain the importance of Vat Punima and I am thankful to them.”
