MUMBAI: Earlier, there were reports that a fake casting director, who is introducing himself as ‘Aditi from Balaji’s casting department’, had been approaching a TV actor. Earlier it was Namish Taneja who shared his ordeal with a portal and revealed that the imposter even asked actor to commit suicide. He had even shared the screenshots of his chat with the fake casting agent who had told him, ‘People like you should die and Sushant should come back.’ Soon after Ekta Kapoor’s, Balaji learnt about the fraudulent activity they filed a police complaint with the authorities at Amboli Police Station in Mumbai.

After Namish Taneja, another TV actor Anuj Sachdeva was about to become a victim of this imposter. Taking to Insta, Anuj shared the screengrab of his chat with the same imposter who now posed as Shah Rukh Khan’s production Red Chillies’ casting director. But it seems like Anuj has been aware of this fake casting agent as he didn’t fall for it easily. Calling him out in the WhatsApp chat, Anuj revealed his real name is Piyush.
After learning about the fake casting agent, Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Production had released a statement. It read, “We, at Balaji Telefilms Ltd, would like to state that the said person who has sent this message is a fraudulent individual, who is posing to be our casting agent and sending extremely poor in taste communication to aspiring actors. We are neither associated with her in any capacity nor do we know this person. As soon as we were intimated about this matter, yesterday, we filed a police complaint with the authorities at Amboli Police Station against the said individual. We request you not to entertain such imposters.”
