After a long gap, Kishwer Merchantt is back to fiction with Zee TV’s fantasy-thriller Brahmarakshas (Balaji Telefims).

The actress is still remembered for her stint on Pyaar Ki Ye Ek Kahani...and this time too, Kishwer is set to impress viewers with her negative avatar on the show.

Talking more about the show and her character, Kishwer shared, “Brahmarakshas is all about horror, drama, thriller, mystery and suspense. It has got everything that viewers want. My character in the show is very cunning and vicious and I am sure my fans will like me in my new avatar.”

She has been a part of the television industry for many years. We asked her why she hasn’t played a lead in any show. To which she replied, “I am at an age where I can’t play too young or too matured roles. Even if I am 35, I don’t look it. So whatever good characters come my way, I pick it up. I think I can play a lead in web series, but in dailies...it is very difficult.”

Kishwer came out as a strong personality from reality shows like Bigg Boss, but we wondered if the show had helped her professionally and personally.

"Yes, it did help me. Your popularity increases. People start approaching you for more events and shows. The show makes you a strong person. Generally, couple break up, but Suyyash and I came out stronger,” she answered.

When asked what was that one thought that keeps her going. She said, “Never let success go to your head and failure to your heart. I am first a human then a celebrity. Enjoy whatever you have in life.”

Very well said!
