Ali Merchant joins Raja's Baraat while Kapil Nirmal bids good bye?

Ali Merchant seems to have become the new poster boy of Star Plus. First, he was brought back as Rituraj in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlaata Hai for a brief period on public demand. And now, he will play Angad, the new lead in Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat after the apparent exit of Kapil Nirmal. He is related to Surya Singh Rathore (Pankaj Dheer) and has come back to repent for his mistakes done earlier in his life. Reveals our source, “Ali’s character is related to the King. He is respected by everyone in the palace and he also befriends Rani who starts sharing her feelings with him. Rani who has just lost her husband Prince Yudhishthir (Nirmal) has to live like a married woman as the news of the prince’s death would leave the King shattered.” We contacted Nirmal about his permanent exit from the show and he Said, “The track demanded me to exit the show so I am out and currently enjoying my much deserved break.” He also said he doesn’t know anything about a comeback. We texted producer Rashmi Sharma about Nirmal’s exit but she said,”No he is very much a part of the show.” Merchant remained unavailable for comment.
