Amar Upadhyay gives his reaction to Ram Kapoor's recent statement on leaving the TV industry for movies. The actor opened up on his upcoming projects too.

MUMBAI: Amar Upadhyay is a well-known name in the television and film industry,

The actor is popularly known for his role Mihir Virani in Star Plus' show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhii Bahu Thii.

The show went off-air years ago but fans still remember him for his character.

Over the years, Amar has been a part of several amazing movies and TV shows and he has now also ventured into OTT space.

Recently, Ram Kapoor's explosive interview has taken the internet by storm.

The actor has given shocking statements about many people in the industry.

One of them was about Amar where Ram said that Amar shouldn't have left Tv to pursue films as it did not work in his favour.

In a recent interaction with TellyChakkar, Amar was quizzed about this to which he said, ''I don't even know about it and I got to know from you. Whatever he said was his point of view and I think it was the right decision that I took at that time. I am very lucky that I will work with some great directors in 5 to 6 movies. We learn a lot of things in life. So, I have learnt a lot from my life and even today, I am working very hard. I am doing so many shows and films.''

Revealing about his upcoming projects, Amar said, ''I have an upcoming web series which is based on Mahatma Gandhi which is directed by Hansal Mehta and it is presented by Applause Entertainment. It is a very good series. I have many projects lined up for the release. So, I am very happy.''

Ram also said that actors from those times like Sakshi Tanwar and Smriti Irani are much more popular than he is in today's times.

To this Amar said, ''People can say whatever they want to and I have never even seen this. People have their own thought process.''

On the work front, Amar is gearing up for Doree 2 on Colors!
