Amarr Upadhyay not to do Bairi piya

All eyes are glued on the Balaji show Bairi piya. Both the show’s concept (farmer suicides) and the production house (Balaji) have piqued viewer interest. Television superstar Shard Kelkar and Supriya Kumari have already signed for the show. A certain section of the media had carried a report on Amarr Upadhyay being part of this show but that’s not true. Confirming the news, Upadhyay says, “No, I’m not doing Bairi piya. I turned down the offer.” The actor didn’t specify his reason for his refusal. Meanwhile, it’s learnt that Sharad Kelkar is playing the antagonist. Kelkar’s character will marry lead actress Supriya, whose poor father sells his daughter to the rich Thakur, played by Kelkar. All eyes are now on the show to know which other Balaji loyalists will be part if it. Bairi piya is expected to go on air in October.
