Amit Khanna to host cookery show for Sanjeev Kapoor's channel

Remember Amit Khanna? The handsome hero who stole many a heart with his performance in Dil Chahe More is back in business. But that is old news for all who have been seeing him on a travel show on Zoom. What is news is the fact that he will be seen as a host in a cookery show on master chef Sanjeev Kapoor's new exclusive channel on cooking. "We have not yet finalised the name of the channel! You will get to know more about it early next year," is all Sanjeev says when asked for details of his new venture. The show, titled Khao Piyo Khisko will be aired once a week and will cover different cuisines of our country. Says Amit, "I have till date shot for three episodes and have already done some really weird stuff like eating octopus in one of the hotels! The interesting part of the show is that it will feature good food irrespective of where it is cooked -- a slum where a housewife cooks to a five star hotel where well trained chefs cook." Adds master chef Sanjeev Kapoor, "My prime aim in this show is to showcase cuisine from different regions of our country. We will be visiting houses of commoners as well as eateries that are famous locally." Amit is very happy to host this show. "I am a born foodie! Plus, with this show I can take a lot of creative liberties as this does not require any serious script." Khao Piyo Khisko is being produced by Sidharth Kak. "I have a long association with him and I was glad enough to grab this project when he offered it to me," he says. With the fortunes of all new general entertainment channels nosediving, all hawk-eyed critics and analysts are eagerly waiting for Sanjeev Kapoor's new channel.
