MUMBAI: The inaugural season of Celebrity MasterChef India has officially come to a close, and it was actor Gaurav Khanna who claimed the coveted title, walking away with the prestigious trophy and a handsome cash prize of ₹30 lakhs.
Gaurav’s exceptional culinary talent consistently impressed the panel of esteemed judges, but it was his creativity and finesse that ultimately won the nation’s heart, making his victory a truly well-deserved one.
The grand finale also featured stellar performances by fellow contestants Nikki Tamboli and Tejasswi Prakash, who finished as the runners-up. Both actresses showcased impressive culinary growth and flair throughout the competition, making the finale a tightly contested affair.

Gaurav Khanna, Tejasswi Prakash, Dipika Kakar, and Nikki Tamboli return to the iconic MasterChef kitchen this time to battle against former public contestants from previous seasons of MasterChef India in what promises to be a thrilling, high-stakes culinary clash.
Fueling the intensity of the challenge, renowned chefs Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna are set to raise the bar by throwing a series of unique culinary tasks at the contestants. It’s celebrity chefs versus non-celebrity chefs in a gripping showdown that fans won’t want to miss.
In a sneak peek from the latest promo, non-celebrity chef Suvarna Bagul is seen posing a fun question to Tejasswi Prakash asking her which dish her partner Karan Kundrra enjoys most when she cooks for him.
Tejasswi responded with a smile, sharing, “Karan absolutely loves fish, but he’s very particular about how it’s prepared. If there’s even the slightest hint of a smell, he won’t touch it. So, I have to be really meticulous using ginger, garlic, and a special paste to enhance the aroma. When it’s cooked that way, he loves it!”
There’s no doubt that Tejasswi knows Karan’s preferences inside out. Their deep understanding and strong bond are just a few of the many reasons they continue to be celebrated as one of television’s ultimate power couples.
