Adaa Khan as Princess Amrit has had a fabulous journey in Director’s Kut’s Amrit Manthan on Life OK when it comes to portraying the various shades in her character. And now Adaa touches yet another high as an actor with Amrit challenging God when she gets to know that her sister Nimrit is alive.
Wondering what Amrit does now? Well, she gets very emotional and in a state of anger walks into a Jalsa wherein people are walking over coal that is on fire. Amrit as she heads into the fiery coal gets into a conversation with Durga Maa and tells her that she has been winning every battle in life, but questions Maa as to why did she have to save Nimrit…
After this gripping sequence, Amrit gets off the coal and walks on the road aimlessly. She is burning with anger and enters a Desi Bar which is flooded with men. She gets fully drunk after taking pegs after pegs and spots a crazy man who is challenging one and all to play a game of gun fight with him. When all the men assembled fail to take up the challenge, it is Amrit who accepts it. The man and Amrit have a face-off with the gun where the gun is loaded with only one bullet and they have to alternate the shots aimed at their forehead. Both of them take a shot each and challenge their own destiny. In this crazy game, Amrit emerges victorious as the man bites the dust by taking the bullet on his forehead.
Whoa, what thrilling sequences!!!
We managed to talk to Adaa who exclaimed, “I have to tell you that I have never performed such a diverse role so far. I have been doing lot many stunt sequences in Amrit Manthan and this time around, I got to walk on coal that was on fire. Though the fire was put only on the sides with coal and mud in the centre, I could feel the heat under my feet. In addition to walking the narrow path, I had to stand in the middle of the fire and have a conversation with Durga Maa. Amrit is mad at Maa for saving Nimrit. After this, I had to shoot for a bar sequence wherein I get drunk and get involved in a deadly challenge. I don’t think any heroine on television has got to do such a scene (smiles). I have seen Anil Kapoor doing such a scene in his movie Jaanbaaz. On the whole, I really enjoyed shooting for the bar sequence and this has to head the long list of the challenging sequences I have done so far in the show.”
This particular sequence goes on air in tonight’s episode (24 September 2012).
