Anil Kapoor's big phoren debut, AXN's 24

AXN show 24 made noise for its real time format, in which all 24 episodes take place in the span of 24 hours! The American action drama television series is broadcast by Fox Network in the USA and syndicated worldwide and this time it’s more special for the Indian viewers as it marks the debut of Anil Kapoor on US Television. The first time the show was aired was on November 6, 2001. Kapoor who hit big time on the international scene with his ‘flamboyant’ host act in Slumdog Millionaire bagged 24 soon after. It’s the first time a Bollywood actor is making his presence felt on foreign television. He plays a significant role, that of Kamistan President Omar Hassan. And there are plans to assassinate him. The other actors who will be seen with him in the eight season of the show are Keifer Sutherland, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Cherry Jones, Annie Wersching, Katee Sad Ckhoff, Mykelti Williamson, Freddie Prinze Jr., Chris Diamantopoulos and John Boyd. The series has won the Emmy and the Golden Globe awards for outstanding drama. It has also received Emmy Awards for writing and directing. We are sure Bollywood is waiting with bated breath for Kapoor’s much-hyped TV debut.
