MUMBAI: Rupali Ganguly has become a TV icon and every woman of the nation relates to her character of Anupama. That speaks volume about her contribution and the quality of work she has delivered over the years.
The actress started her journey as a child artist in her father’s film, ‘Saaheb’ released in 1985, when she was just 7 years old. Later on, she made her TV debut in 2000 with the show, ‘Sukanya’.

She gained major recognition with her performance as Monisha in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, a sitcom that is in demand even today. However, as Anupamaa arrived on screens, the actress gained immense popularity and became a household name.
At Rupali Ganguly’s birthday celebration, there were a lot of actors who were present and one of them was Sheersha Tiwari aka Prarthana Kothari from Anupamaa.
In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar, Sheersha Tiwari talked about her experience working with Rupali Ganguly and how she looks up to her.
Sheersha Tiwari said, “Fortunately aisa hua ki mera pehla scene hi Rupali ma’am ke saath tha Anupamaa mein toh bohot acha experience raha pehle din shoot karne ka aur bohot hi caring nature hai ma’am ka. First day hi, inspite of ke main abhi nayi nayi introduce hui hu show mein, unhone meri help ki, mujhe bahar tak drop kiya, she tok care of me ki tum safely ghar pohoch jao aur mujhe bata dena toh uss din se hi she is like ek ideal figure hai mere liye ki ha inke jaise ban’na hai, kaise yeh humesha grounded hai, zameen se judi hui hai...”
