Ashish Sharma gets on-field training in direction on the sets of Colors’ Rang Rasiya

Ashish Sharma
Actor Ashish Sharma’s passion for direction was very much visible when he recently turned Co-Director of the MTV show ‘Saturday Night Full Tight’. And now, Ashish is seeking new horizons in direction by keeping himself updated with the intricate details of direction on the sets of Saurabh Tewari’s Rang Rasiya on Colors. Well, a source from the sets of Rang Rasiya did tell us that whenever Ashish is not shooting, he does not take time out to relax in his room. Instead, you can spot him either behind the camera, or sitting with the director learning the art every minute. And what’s more? Recently, Ashish had the privilege of assisting ace director Siddharth Sengupta on the sets of Rang Rasiya. Says Ashish, “I love direction and always look for opportunities to get a hang of it. This was when I got a chance to assist our director Siddharthji (Sengupta) for a day. I did everything, from calling the actors for rehearsals to getting the actors to shoot on time etc. It was a wonderful experience indeed. The best part was that Siddharthji had seen my work as co-director in my MTV show.” He goes on to add, “Direction is a vast field. And I would want to get as much on-field training as possible. All on the set know of my passion for direction. So whenever a nice scene has been shot, or something new has been tried, they call me and show it to me.” Guess here’s a director in the making!! Good job, Ashish.
